About me

    I have been singing since my early childhood days, beginning in the Manheim Central school choruses. Singing cannot be separated from me. Once when I was sick my mother said, "If only she would sing, I know that she would be better" .My formal vocal training has been with Romayne Bridgett, VIckie Kissinger and Jean Berlin, all of Lancaster. The style I sing is varied: Christian, classical, worship and praise, or romantic. It can be soft and lyrical or more dramatic; but always singing from the heart. I also have a three octave range.Some of the groups where I have used my singing gift are: Sight and Sound Theatre cast, Calvary Church women's fellowship leader, Sandy Cove Women's luncheons, Historic Philadelphia Electrical Spectacle, Celebrate Recovery, coffeehouses, art galleries, funerals, nursing homes, churches, weddings and the Snowflake Gala, singing the National Anthem at: Reading Phillies, Altoona Curve and elsewhere.
    I am a past performing member of the Musical Art Society, Lancaster; and also a past member of their board.    As a nurse, for hospice patients, I sang and ministered at their crucial end stage of life; and then sang at several funerals per their request. It was a quite a ministry of comfort.    Choral work has included: Billy Graham Crusade, Benny Hinn Crusade, Lancaster Bible College, Ocean Grove's  Choral Fest, Handel's Messiah with numerous groups, F&M choral society, and The Music for Everyone Chorus.Of special interest is that Vicki is a descendant of Bishop Hans Herr, leader of the first Mennonite settlement in the United States.
3 passions in her life: her faith, her music and a desire to help people in their time of need. She has been blessed to be able to combine all three of these passions through her work, music and volunteering...and through her contribution to Joy to the Burg 2022! She is 'Songstress'  and also works as a Registered Nurse case manager in the mental health/behavioral healthcare field. In addition, Vicki was named Ms. Pennsylvania Senior America 2013 and the 2020 Christian Artist of the Year at the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame Awards.
